Karla Powell Lip Art
I had the opportunity to attend one of the amazing lipart workshops run by international make up artist, Karla Powell. She produces some amazing images using a range of gorgeous make up brands AND facepaint!
The course was in Bromsgrove at the Atrix centre and we began with a some inspiring background of how Karla began her MUA career and how she runs her business now, sharing tips & tricks to success!
We were then shown how to prepare our lips using some homemade lip scrub (yes, we even made own own) and given a demonstration on how to create three beautiful lip designs (including Karla's signature designs, the broken glass & colour run look) using a range of gorgeous products such as, Illamasque, lip tar, lime grime, superstar & paradise face paint and of course MAC.
I can totally say that the workshop was brilliant, Karla really is such an inspiring woman and I can't wait to use some of the techniques I learnt today within my face & body art designs.
